"7 Loves"

I have just developed a new collection of fused and slumped bowls and panels inspired by 7 of my great loves: watching and photographing the earth from the sky, Aboriginal Art, repetitive pattern, patchwork, observations on mans constructive hand in Nature, glass and Nature.

I have been wanting to do something like this for many years and suddenly all of the pieces fell into place and I am very happy with the results. I also feel that I will continue enjoying and developing this idea for many years. This collection is called "7 Loves".

Selected, alongside some other members of Cohesion, by The Art Source of Dubai to make a specially commissioned larger Sea Creature. The piece will be exhibited at The Dubai Mall in the Burj Dubai, the tallest building in the world!

Private Collection Purchase

The first peice of my new range "Max's Feather" Charger, made with recycled glass, kilnformed, silvered, hand drawn and sandblasted was bought at the Cohesion "Blast" exhibition at London Glassblowing for the Dan Klein & Alan J. Poole [Private Collection]. London. G.B.

"Words on Glass II" is now on temporary loan to Blackwell House. The Arts and Crafts House in the Lake District.

This large clear recycled glass charger is the follow on from the sister piece that was in the V & A "Inspired By" Exhibition in 2005. It is part of an ongoing series which has my words about glass sandblasted into the glass, spiraling towards the center. The glass is layered to give the edges of the charger the feel of the pages down the side of a book.
